I decided that I need to make my gratitude list a big one today. I didn't do it in my car this morning like I usually do so I need to make sure it gets the recognition it deserves. Here goes.
Thank You for my beautiful body. With all the damage I've done to it over the years, I'm really so happy and grateful that it's still in good working order, and pretty damn cute if I say so myself. ;)
Thank You for friends that can't be beat. Seriously. I've been through a lot of losers over the years. Maybe those losers were so I could recognize and appreciate the good ones when they came a knockin'. Well, thanks so much for that.
Thank You for the world's sweetest, most sincere, honest, loving, and supportive hubby anyone could hope for. True, sometimes I just want to smack him in the face with a frying pan then light him on fire but the good stuff in him makes up for all the other crap. I still don't know how a biatch like me can deserve such a nice guy, but thanks a million anyway.
Thank You for a career that I can be proud of. Every day I get to wake up and ready myself to go to work, I close my eyes and thank the universe for that opportunity. I'm so fortunate and I know it. Thank you.
Thank You for allowing me to see all the beauty in the world. I have been astonished with how gorgeous the change of the seasons have been this year. I'm sure it's like that every year but I'm just taking it all in this year like never before. I'm swallowing the beauty and love around me instead of the french fries and cookies of years past. :)
Thank You for music in my life. I remember as a kid, I learned to play the clarinet. It was never a passion of mine but at least I had music. Then as a teenager, my life was ALL about music. Somewhere along the path, I lost it, or maybe I set it down somewhere and got distracted by a shiny object. Who knew that my New Years resolution to learn to play guitar would not only stick all year but that it would bring me so much joy and peace. Tonight, I'm seeing a classical guitarist in concert and I've been looking forward to it for a few months. She's amazing. Here's a video of her playing a beautiful Chinese song call Butterfly Lovers.
Thank You for tears of joy.
Seeing that it's almost Thanksgiving, which is my favorite holiday, I'd like to start a discussion about gratitude. Please take time between now and November 26th to think about what you appreciate in your own life. Talk to others about it. Ask others about what brings them joy. Blog about it.
What are you thankful for?
What brings you tears of joy?
Thank You for being here.

Nice! I am thankful for my good friend Salina. Really that is true. I love a good sincere and true friend. I am thankful for music, I can always find something to suit my need or mood. The one you posted sounded so nice. I hope you enjoyed the evening.
I could keep going as I always feel like there is so many things to be thankful for. Color, family, seasons, storms, food, bi warm comforters to cuddle under. Having someone to cuddle with. Of course you know that my kids are way high on that list. They bring me tears. Yes, I mean joy too.
GREAT list! We have so much to be thankful for, but sometimes we forget!
