Perfect 10 Challenge Week 4 Update

Goals




  1. ACSM - Progress on this goal is definitely slow going. I'm still feeling overwhelmed with it. And yes, I'll admit that I did not do what I needed to do this week. I have it here next to me today though so I'm digging in in mere moments. I just can't wait for the test to be over so I can get on with the other stuff.
  2. House - Not yet. It's on my list to start next week.
  3. 8 of 10 action items for success - For the most part, Yes. I didn't blog daily but I did my best with the rest of the stuff. It's progress, not perfection. I have to keep reminding myself of that.
  4. 5K - I tried running this week a couple times but my shins were killing me both times. I gotta be honest here, I'm just not sure if I'm going to be a runner.
  5. 1lb - Um....yes, no, yes. I don't know how to answer this one because my scale has been screwy for the past couple weeks. I lost 2lbs from last week but last week I showed a 2lb gain so basically the ridiculousness corrected itself and I'm net zero. I'm hoping my weigh in this weekend shows an actual loss so I can see my ticker move up there.
  6. WW 4-Week Challenge - Yes! I cooked with a buddy. We made sushi together. It was AWESOME! In fact, I shoved a bunch of pictures of our Japanese cuisine adventures in and around here for your viewing pleasure. I made all the sushi and my buddy made tempura, yakitori and a coule other yummies. I did yoga last night and it was soooo nice. I love yoga!
  7. Learn to ski - Okay so I have an update on this. We had it planned for Feb 20th but hubby and I just did the finances and decided that we don't want to spend the money to do it. So, this goal is going bye bye. :(
  8. Nephew - Still procrastinating. I'm such a little pusy bed wetter about this. What is wrong with me? Why can't I just get over myself already and do it?
  9. Pasta - Done! And it was awesome.
  10. Yard - Not yet of course. I'll plan to do this closer to the end of the challenge. Hopefully we'll be well on our way to a nice spring by then.









So there you go.

Now, about me:

I don't have anything juicy. I'm actually drawing a blank on anything really interesting. You all know lots about me already. How about a couple less interesting things?
  • I'm short as short can be. 5ft nothin' to be exact. I swear as a teenager, my doctor measured my height as 5'1.75" and I've shrunk. Hubby jokes that by the time I'm 80, I'll fit in his pocket.
  • Both of my pinky fingers are warped, as are my mom's and my grandmother's. Mine are less so but they are noticeably bent.
  • I have carnie hands...and feet actually. Tiny little hands and feet. I've met 5 year old kids that have bigger hands and feet than I do. No joke.
  • Stupid human tricks: I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue (have won money doing it before), I can pop my hips out of socket and back in again (no pain, just grosses people out because you can hear and feel it pop), I can wriggle my ears, and lift and manipulate my eyebrows independently.
  • I have a bunch of tattoos. Depending on how you count them, I either have 7 or 10. All but two are cover-ups of about 10 others. So if you count all the cover-ups (in other words: how many times I've actually been tattooed), the number would be closer to 20...maybe more. I can't necessarily remember all of what is now covered by other massive art. I already have my next one planned but it's going to be ridiculously expensive so I won't attempt it for at least another year. Hint: full sleeve.
That should be enough for now....don't you think?

Okay, those are some interesting facts. I'll have to say, the whole hip thing would freak me out. :-) Have a great week!
