My Favoritest Things about 2009

  1. Cleaned house friendship wise. Got rid of the unfriend and built better stronger friendships with the good ones.
  2. Finished my house. Remodel is complete. Relandscape is complete. Pretty....
  3. Learned to play the guitar. Still learning to play the guitar. Love learning to play the guitar. Classical guitar rocks the party, the classical party of course.
  4. Tried hot yoga for the first time and started getting really good at it. Love IT.
  5. Tried kickboxing for the first time. Love IT.
  6. Took tennis lessons. Sucked it up like a wannabe but it was fun.
  7. Had two girls weekends away. Count them, one....two. Yay!
  8. Got to spend some good time with an old friend. Had a falling out years ago and never really repaired the damage done, until now. :)
  9. Lost 12 lbs (so far).
  10. Started and continue to smell the roses on a regular basis. This is huge for me, one who was just called the world's biggest pesimist (past tense).
  11. Saved my marriage. Not on my own of course but I did participate.
  12. Found my most favoritest book EVER. I highly recommend you read it. The Secret of the Ages by Robert Collier. It has magical powers.
  13. I found blogging. And new bloggy friends. Seriously love you guys.
  14. Took my first real road trip ever. Loved it.
  15. Discovered Punk Rope.
  16. Made it through being robbed (the house, not me personally) with marriage and sanity in tact.
  17. Doubled my retirement savings at least. Oh ya...some day far from now, I might be able to retire.
  18. Pulled my head right out of my ass. Feeling like I can deal with just about anything now without having an emotional breakdown and holding things hostage in exchange for a pie and a fork.
  19. Found peace and happiness in my self.

I'm sure there's more but I think 19 is enough for now. You don't feel like you've been robbed because it's not a nice round number do you? Gosh I hope not. That might be a little OCD or something. Who says you have to have round numbers for things like this anyway? I want to know who made that rule and imposed it on the rest of us. I don't like being told what to do and how to do it. Back off. It's my list and I like having 19 favoritest things about the year, not 20. Deal with it.

Great list Salina and I definitely see a healthier you emerging in so many ways!! Heck I thought you were terrific before now you are just off the hook!

I guess since I am still around that makes me a keeper friend. Yay.

P.S I did note that you listened to us the other day and I was proud of you.

Oh and one more thing, I am still truly sorry about the pits I put in your brand new grass. The whole house and yard are gorgeous.

I don't know what just happened to my comment, so apologies if it posts more than once... but, no, don't feel robbed, though I'm a slave to the round-number lists as well! There's a lot on your list to be proud of, though. Congrats on such a wonderful year!

Love this! It's been a "down" couple of days here with my mental state to the point where I'm playing "scale avoidance" because I don't need one more thing getting to me ... but your post has made me think of all the UP things from this year and it's helping alot! Still not planning on weighing in, though ;)
