Tick Tick Ding

Uh. Whatever.

Well today actually went ok. Nothing spectacular. No big failures, no giant aha moments. It was a day. I guess I'll just update on my daily to-do items.

  • Blog. duh.
  • Burn 400 calories...not so much. I didn't actually get to the gym today. Got a little side tracked with other things. No excuse...I just didn't.
  • Do more yoga...that'll be tomorrow.
  • Water...yup
  • 3 squares and a snack. Done. I was soooo good about my food today. But, I still ended up a little under in calories. Oh well, it makes up for the lack of exercise a little I guess.
  • Meditate. Nope.
  • Practice guitar. Nope. I practiced yesterday and it was wonderful but didn't do it today.
  • Read. I read a ton today. It was a stormy kinda day here in lovely Seattle so sitting inside with a list of blogs to read after work felt like the right thing to do.
  • Say Thank You. I'm gonna give this one a ya sure. It was more half-assed than yesterday but I still felt grateful for stuff.
  • Vitamins. Damn...forgot.
  • Track progress. Yes.
Do you ever feel like you're in a life that just doesn't fit quite right. Like a pair of pants that others say look great on you but they tend to ride up a little or the fabric just feels wierd on your skin. Ahhh...probably not. I guess it's just me then. Slightly too neurotic for my own good and always way too much for the rest of the world.

Tomorrow will be a better day, I'm sure.

Thanks so much for the comment! And no worries about it being long... I always feel like I have to go back and edit my comments for that very reason, so trust me, I understand!

I appreciate your insight on setting dates for the goals. What you mentioned -- feeling like crap for missing a date -- is actually why I worry about setting a date. But, at the same time, I feel like if I don't give myself a timeline I'll just dawdle forever and never get there. Ay yi yi...

Also, I totally love stormy days for that particular reason... perfect excuse to sit around and read. We have them far less than you do, but that's beside the point. :)

I see you posted this late last night so I hope today was, indeed, a better day!
